Santo Domingo

All horses are special but there are some which are very very special. Let Rider Dorothy Barker tell you the story about Santo Domingo (a.k.a Domingo) and his three (possibly four) careers.

But first here is what Dorothy has to say:

“Leslie’s expertise has been invaluable for Domingo and I believe with out his body work he would not be as supple and sound or working as he does now.

We are riding on the flat walk, trot and canter about 5 times a week. When Leslie first worked on Domingo (he was 22 years old) he was stiff and tight in the back, neck and poll areas and his stifles and hamstrings were “no go zones”. He now shows little stiffness at his appointments and any tight areas are released by the end of his sessions.

Every month I tell Leslie I am so very thankful she was referred to me 2 years ago.”

Ginny

Ginny is rising 20 years old Registered Canadian Sport Horse currently competing at Pre-Entry level eventing and performing better than ever. Amy Richardson has owned Ginny for four years.

Here is what Amy has to say:

“When Leslie started working with Ginny about one month after I bought her Ginny was very uncomfortable taking contact/softening/being supple in her body.

I am so grateful for Leslie’s work on Ginny to keep her comfortable and happy.  I truly believe that Ginny enjoys her job so much more.

It is hard to put into words that Ginny is a a different mare than the one I bought…her musculature has changed; bodywork has helped Ginny release tension not only from her back and poll but also in her lumbar and gluteal areas.

She is able to move forward into contact and can come through into collection;  she could not have done so before!  I honestly feel like Leslie’s  work PLUS the exercises and coaching she has given us during clinics has brought Ginny even  further than she ever would gone, hands down.

She was not chewing or salivating during her work when she came to me and now she does so  during our work out which is huge!  The years and years of tension that Leslie has released is awesome.”
